The J. Randle Centre has officially appointed Títí Ogufere as its Design Curator, entrusting her with the transformation of its physical spaces and the Maker Faire concept store. This strategic appointment marks a bold step in redefining creativity and cultural storytelling within Nigeria’s design landscape.
In her new role, Ogufere will integrate Yorùbá aesthetics, innovation, and craftsmanship into the centre’s spaces, crafting immersive cultural experiences that celebrate Africa’s rich heritage. Her signature design philosophy, Afromodernism, merges contemporary sensibilities with authentic African traditions, drawing inspiration from Aso-oke fabrics, basket weaving, and symbolic African art.
A highly respected figure in the design industry, Títí Ogufere is the founder of Design Week Lagos and the Interior Designers Association of Nigeria. She also created the acclaimed Netflix series “Made by Design”, which spotlights African designers and architects.
Her appointment signals a new era for the J. Randle Centre, positioning it as a hub where tradition meets modernity in a seamless fusion of art, culture, and innovation.
