Urban & Contemporary Architects (UCA) have recently shared images of their latest residential development, Greenville, located in the heart of Old Ikoyi, Lagos. This innovative project, also known as “The House of Trees,” aims to restore the greenery that once characterized this exclusive area.

Greenville stands out with its design, featuring sixty-six floating planters distributed across four suspended floors. Each planter is equipped with a state-of-the-art mini drip irrigation and drainage system, enabling water recycling and reuse. The development boasts over 400 trees, shrubs, herbs, and plants, creating a vibrant micro-ecosystem that supports local biodiversity while helping to combat the greenhouse effect.

The U-shaped structure of Greenville comprises 15 luxurious units, including terraces, flats, maisonettes, and penthouses. These residences offer unmatched privacy with cascading zigzag balconies, creating an architectural rhythm that blends contemporary living with nature. By setting a new standard for sustainable design in Lagos, Greenville is a testament to UCA’s commitment to environmentally conscious architecture.
